If you have never been to MAGIC Market Week, it is a spectacle of the latest sizzling fashions! MAGIC is held twice per year (February and August) at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. They filled nearly 1 million square feet with wall-to-wall fashion!
This winter version of MAGIC included over 5,000 brands across 10 sub trade shows that focus on men’s fashion, women’s fashion, children’s apparel, swimwear, footwear, accessories and sourcing. The show drew in nearly 65,000 attendees, which is in line with last year’s numbers.
Some of the brands that exhibited their new lines at the show, included:
Doe & Rae
Rodd & Gunn
Versus by Versace

The show’s attendees included distributors, retailers, brokers, industry affiliates, and influencers. Exhibitors were happy to receive a steady flow of late spring and summer purchase orders at the show.
Fashion brands need to connect with influencers online to effectively spread their brand. And, many times those influencers are not only influencing consumer purchases, but also brand direction and lines. As more apparel, shoes, and accessories purchases move online, brands and consumers are getting influenced by fashion bloggers. Many of these influencers attend MAGIC to see what brands are doing and to connect with the brand designers.
The show presents so much for retailers; it can become difficult to know where to find exactly what the retailer is looking for. But with so many brands and products, it is a great place for retailer inspiration in addition to targeted purchases. Whether last minute orders or looking to next fall or spring, MAGIC had everything a fashion retailer would hope for.
