Anyone that’s been keeping an eye on the current happenings of the Facebook commerce arena will tell you that there’s been some major shakeups recently amongst the key players as Ecwid (the largest provider of Facebook stores), absorbed their top competitor, Payvment, as well as Payvment’s customer base. For Doba retailers, it’s a great time to learn how to sell products on Facebook, and how our software integrates with Ecwid to make the process simple.
What is Ecwid?
Ecwid allows you to create an online storefront that can be easily added to any existing blog or website. It is simple to maintain and manage, allowing you to manage all of your products from an easy-to-use store manager. Even if you promote your products on more than one website, with Ecwid, you can manage everything from one place. For instance, let’s say you have two blogs and a Facebook store, rather than having to log into three different stores to process orders, everything is kept in one place, saving you a great deal of time and energy.
As we just mentioned, Ecwid also features a Facebook application that makes it easy for you to feature your products to the millions and millions of people currently using the mammoth social network. The best part is that Ecwid is free to try out, so you can open a small store with a handful of products to see how everything works before having to commit to paying any sort of fee.
To get started with Ecwid either click here or click the orange “Push to Marketplace” button on any product in the Doba catalog and follow the onscreen instructions. Once your Ecwid storefront has been set up, read on to learn more about how easy it is to add Doba products to your Ecwid store.
How does Doba work with Ecwid?
Getting Doba products into an Ecwid Facebook store is an easy 3-step process.
1. Create an inventory list for your Ecwid products – Pick out a handful of products that you plan to feature in your Ecwid store and click the “Add to My Inventory Button”. In the popup window, create a new inventory, for instance, "Children's Toys" and click “Add”.
2. Use the Data Export Tool to Export your Inventory List in Ecwid Format – Simply click the Data Export tool and select your new Ecwid Products inventory list and the Ecwid format. There’s a video tutorial at the bottom of the Data Export section that shows you step-by-step how to use it.
3. Log into Ecwid Account and Import the Inventory List
And voila, that’s it! Your Doba products are inside of Ecwid’s system now and can be featured on your blog, Facebook store, or any other place you decide to feature them.
If you have difficulty getting products onto your Ecwid store, our customer service team is standing by, as always, to assist.
